Patient Lucy is especially effective for beds in shady places, as well as for window boxes, planters, and hanging baskets. Patient Lucy is delicate, being very sensitive to cold weather. Sow seeds indoors six to eight weeks before the last frost is due and transplant seedlings to the garden when there is no longer any threat of frost. It can also be propagated by cuttings.

Pretty 5/5/01. Pretty miniature rose look alike: 'Fiesta Sparkle Rose'.
Bright 5/18/01. Filling in nicely.
Bright spot 8/15/01. Brightening up a shady spot.
Front Porch 12/22/01. Such a mild fall/early winter that they've never looked better, and it's almost Christmas!
Gone, finally 12/30/01. Withstood temps in low 30s but upper teens and low 20s did them in.
