5/26/00. This plant defies the odds. I got several plants about 3 years ago in the topiary. It trailed off the deck and rooted just under the deck edge. Its been there ever since. Never quite dies in the winter. I guess the leaves that collect there, and the car that is parked there a lot, protect it enough. I've never had it bloom, though.

6/22/00. This poor plant. I really need to do something for it.

8/14/00. Rooting a cutting.

10/28/00. Bought several of these at Southern States end of season sale. Don't know what I'll do with them--window boxes, maybe?

10/28/00. This is the one I rooted. Doing quite well.

|
11/5/00. Having no immediate plans for the new plants, I sank the pots in a bed until Spring.

3/27/01. This is the one I rooted. Made it through the winter in good shape.

|
4/2/01. The new plants I sank in a bed are doing well, too.

5/1/01. Wouldn't you know it. This is from the original plant that grew up through the deck boards. Pretty little bloom.

2/18/02. I did use them in window boxes. The impatiens are gone. I may keep the periwinkle and plant something else with it later.
