First posts 6/12/04. Level line strung and first fence posts set in concrete.
Rest of the posts 6/12/04. The rest of the posts on that side set. Again, we have to wait a day or so to add the stringers.
Stringers 6/14/04. Stringers in place.
Gate posts 6/14/04. We're leaving these posts long so we have more options--not sure what we'll do yet.
Reinforcements 6/14/04. Since this fence is on the hillside, and not perfectly stable, we reinforced with more of those large fence posts driven deep.
Stability 6/14/04. A sturdy board on this side provides more stability.
Bolted 6/14/04. Attached to neighbor's fence post with some seriously large bolts.
Braced 6/14/04. Brace added. We're all about stability.
Back wall 6/14/04. We've decided to take advantage of this space and make another planting area. Another board added to provide the back "wall" of the bed.
Stockade 6/15/04. Stockade fence boards up. John decided to make the fence from decking boards, instead of the pre-assembled fence panels, because they will be sturdier.

Closed up 6/15/04. End of this bed closed up since it was open to under the pier.
