10/31/00. Just purchased kit for growing an 'Appleblossom' Dutch amaryllis. I've never grown amaryllis before, so this will be an adventure. I have several different varieties, and will start one every 3 weeks to have blooms for a longer time.

11/5/00. Trashed the peat moss. Planted in my regular potting soil, ProMix®. This bulb has started to grow, but is totally white and bent from being in the box.
