Liriope in Spring 3/11/00. This is what the liriope looks like in early spring. Leaves are indeed yellowish green and have been burned by the cold and ice.
Mowed liriope in spring 3/29/00. Finally got the old liriope foliage mowed.
New liriope growth in spring 3/29/00. Here's what new liriope growth looks like. It's important to trim the old foliage early enough to avoid injuring the new growth. Cuts on new growth will stay brown all season.
Sprouting well 4/15/00. Sprouting really well.
Really thick 5/25/00. Really thick. I'm planning to redo this bed this fall, and if I keep any of this creeping variety, it will be in pots to contain it.
Beginning to blossom 7/27/00. Beginnning to blossom.
Up close 7/26/00. Here's a blossom up close.
Up close 8/2/00. More blossoms.
Berries 9/26/00. Blossoms have turned to berries. Berries will eventually turn black.
Yellowing 10/7/00. Foliage beginning to yellow.
