Chives up 3/29/00. Chives are up before lots of other things.
Buds 4/27/00. To me, one of the best things about chives is their pretty blooms. Here, the buds are still tight.
Just beginning 5/4/00. Just beginning to open.
Open 5/11/00. Most are fully open now.
Fading 5/16/00. Beginning to fade, here.
Still there 10/8/00. Despite being totally covered up with sundrops and Baby's Breath foliage all summer, the chives still look good. Apparently they don't need full sun. I'll be moving them into the herb bed in a few days.
Moved 10/10/00. Moved the clump of chives to the herb bed. Hope it lives 'cause John's aunt gave it to me years ago.

Back to Herbs.
