Gardens are a form of autobiography.
Sydney Eddison

Each year I promised myself to keep a journal, so I could look back and use it to help plan the next years' gardening activities. I've bought pretty journals to use, but the blank pages always seem to stay that way. Somehow I've never gotten around to it, apart from jotting down some planting dates, etc., on yellow sticky notes. My gardening style is sort of one of "trial and error" and finding out what works and what doesn't. I've finally started keeping the journal, but in a manner I hadn't considered before: online. Hopefully, not only will it be a help to me in planning my Zone 7b, or "upper south," garden each year, but it will be a sort of history in it's own right. And, if sharing my experiences turn out to be a small help to someone else, that would be nice.
