Shastas coming up!! 4/15/00. Shasta daisy 'Alaska' is up and running.
Growing well 5/10/00. Shasta daisies are growing well.
Taller and taller 5/12/00. Getting taller and taller.
Alaska bud 5/16/00. First bud for 2000.
Bud is growing 5/16/00. Bud starting to open.
Clump 5/25/00. This clump is spreading, and has lots of flower stalks forming.
Falling 5/28/00. Every year, the Shasta daisies do the same thing--when they get this tall, they fall over into the yard.
Supported 5/28/00. This year, I supported the stems with metal plant support stakes. It really helped.
Bud opening 6/7/00. This bud is opening--should be in full bloom soon.
Almost open 6/7/00. This one is almost open.
Lots of daisies 6/15/00. Lots of buds and fully open blossoms now.
Ratty 8/25/00. Shasta foliage looking really ratty now. Can't decide whether to cut it down or not.
