| 'Sunny Border Blue' Veronica spicata is a clump-forming perennial with lance-shaped, crinkled, toothed, clossy, dark green leaves, 2-3 inches long. Bears erect sturdy spike to 7 inches long, of tubular, dark violet-blue flowers, from early summer to late autumn.

4/2/00. 'Sunny Border Blue' has been up for about three weeks here.

5/12/00. First blossom bud for 2000.

5/21/00. Showing some color here.

6/4/00. Several blossum spikes now.
|

6/8/00. Starting to flop out a little, due to the weight of the blossom spikes.
|

6/8/00. Peony ring in place here to keep the stems upright.
|

6/29/00. Lots of spikes are finished blooming, and the dropped flowers have made a mess. Needs deadheading.

6/29/00. All spent blossom spikes removed. This should encourage more blooms.

7/23/00. Did get another flush of bloom, but not as much as the first one.
