3/11/00. This hydrangea had lots of blooms last year, but grew into a large bush by the end of the summer. I will have to prune it or it will get out of hand this year. And, its already putting out lots of new growth.

3/11/00. Hydrangea after being pruned. I probably won't get many, if any, blooms this year. Just found out it should have been pruned right after flowering last year. But it had grown way too large, and a severe pruning was needed.

10/6/00. Gorgeous. Although no spring blooms, it more than made up for it with this lovely bloom in the fall--when flowers are very appreciated--especially unexpected ones. Will have to be more careful with spring pruning next year--do it earlier and with less enthusiasm.
