| Every year, millions of trees are planted in the United States alone. Trees provide shade and ornamentation, and increase real estate values by adding to the sense of home that they bring to a house and yard. Before planting a tree, a homeowner must take several things into consideration. First, make sure that the tree you choose is suitable for your climate and soil conditions. Secondly, consider the pests, insects and diseases alike, that are likely to trouble your choice. Thirdly, find out if the tree is going to cause you more work than you are willing to do to prune and clean up leaves or fruit, etc. And fourth, make sure the tree is suitable to the size and scale of your yard and its structures and design. |
