Sprouted 2/2/01. 'Early Jersey Wakefield' cabbage just sprouted.
Transplanted 2/14/01. Transplanted to cell-packs.
In the garden 3/17/01. Planted in the garden bed.
Growing 4/20/01. Doing pretty well.
Growing more 4/29/01. Looking good.
Worm 5/6/01. I knew it wouldn't be long. A little bT took care of him and his friends.
Heading up 5/23/01. Heading up nicely, despite a long stretch of rain with little sun.
Beautiful 6/2/01. Beautiful plant.
Summary: Really nice plants, with firm, tight, conical heads. Harvest was pretty good considering slugs destroyed several heads beyond saving. Don't know that it's worth growing cabbage--takes up lots of room, and slugs get them every year. Will have to think about whether or not to plant any next year.
