3/4/00. My yields in the past have been less than satisfactory with recommended rates, so I decided to sow these very thickly. My small space does not allow for long rows spaced apart. I decided I would rather thin heavily if needed, rather than have a sparse crop. Carrot seeds are very tiny, so they are hard to see. Seeds are approximately 2-2½ mm in length.

5/21/00 Second planting growing fairly well. First planting has yielded several small carrots from thinning.
