| Growing your own vegetables allows you to put the freshest vegetables possible on your table. You may save some money, but by the time you count up all the costs, you might just break even. No matter. You will enjoy several things that money can't buy: the unique satisfaction of growing what you want and eating it in it's prime, watching little seeds becoming bountifully producing plants, and engaging in a pleasant form of exercise. In my USDA Zone 7 garden, I plan to try growing different varieties of my favorite vegetables by using different methods, documenting progress (or lack of!) as I go, by using descriptions and pictures. |
